DN50–DN200
Dual-channel Ultrasonic Bulk Water Meter CSW
Two ultrasonic paths from DN50 to DN200, so turbulent or disturbed flow still measures accurately on a large main.
Application
Network metering is about measuring large volumes continuously and being able to account for what goes in against what is billed out. Chenshuo supplies the dual-channel ultrasonic bulk meter in DN50-DN200 for district metered areas, transfer points and regional supply measurement.
Typical sizes: DN50-DN200
The same meter is bought for different reasons depending on who is signing. These are the four roles that come up most often on this type of project.
Bulk measurement that stays in calibration over years, and data the billing and NRW accounting can use.
Transfer points between operators, where both sides have to agree on the number.
Night-flow resolution, because a district that cannot be measured at low flow cannot be managed for leakage.
A specified meter that arrives with the documentation the authority will ask for.
Four things that most often settle whether a project goes ahead with us.
A bulk meter is judged at the bottom of its range as much as the top. Night flow is where leakage shows up and where revenue is silently lost if the meter stops registering.
The dual-channel ultrasonic bulk meter gives you redundancy on the measuring element, which is what makes a disputed reading resolvable without pulling the meter.
Ultrasonic bodies have no moving parts in the flow path, so accuracy drift over a long service life is not driven by mechanical wear.
Certificate and calibration document copies are provided with the quotation.
These are the models most often specified for this application. Send us the pipe size and flow range and we will confirm which one fits.

A DMA is a zone with a measured inlet and a known set of connections, so inflow can be compared with billed consumption and the difference investigated. The meter at the zone inlet is the instrument the whole method depends on: it has to register night flow accurately, and it has to keep doing it for years.
Where water changes hands between two operators, the meter is the contract. Both sides have to accept the number, which usually means a meter with a documented calibration and a measuring element that can be verified without removing the body from the line.
Size on the pipe and the real flow range, including the night minimum. A bulk meter fitted on pipe size alone is often one step too large, and the cost of that shows up as unregistered low flow rather than as an obvious failure.
DN50-DN200 in the dual-channel ultrasonic range. Confirm against pipe size and the expected minimum and maximum flow, not against pipe size alone.
Redundancy on the measuring element. A disputed reading can be cross-checked on the same body instead of pulling the meter out of the line.
Send us your minimum expected flow with the enquiry and we will confirm the meter that holds it.
